Patient care has always been my passion. I entered healthcare straight out of high school, spending 8 years as a nursing assistant before going into dentistry. I graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at Spokane Community College in 2011 and began my career in periodontics. Always a fan of further education, I returned to Spokane Community College for the Expanded Functions Dental Assisting program, graduating in 2015. After a brief time in general dentistry I realized that periodontics was where I belonged. I joined Dr. Johnson’s office in 2017 and am truly excited to come to work every day. I’m proud to be part of a team whose primary focus is quality patient care!

Hygienist
I received a dental hygiene degree in 2003 from Clark college in Vancouver Washington. I moved to Spokane in 2003, started my career in periodontics and found an adoration for it. I married my husband in 2004 and had my son Gavin in 2005. I started working with Dr. Shellerud 2006 and also followed the practice transition over to Dr. Johnson. My love for dentistry started as a child with a great pediatric dentist as I had my own gamut of dental procedures throughout life. I am no stranger to dental surgeries. My goal is to build patient relationships, having them feel comfortable and confident in their provider and dental procedure options.
Hobbies, I love crossfit, outdoor activities, family time, lake days, gardening, cooking and wine tasting and eventually, one day traveling the world.
Hygienist and Surgical Assistant
I have worked as a dental assistant for over 3 years and then found my home in periodontics. I pursued my dream of becoming a hygienist and graduated with my bachelors in science from EWU in May 2020. My goal is to create a comfortable eneviornemnt for my patients so that they can have a positive experience a the dental office. I enjoy patient education and helping people improve their periodontal health, so that they can gain confidence in their smile. I believe oral health contributes to an overall better quality of life.
My hobbies include fitness, hiking and spending time with my family.

Surgical Assistant
I was born and raised in Spokane Valley and I currently live in the beautiful country side of Freeman/Valleyford area on 100 acres of land. I attended and graduated from Spokane Community College where I received my Dental Assisting degree. I have a warm heart and love welcoming patients with a smile.
In my spare time you will find me with my family. I have a passion for recreational sports such as fishing hiking, hunting, camping and spending time at home with my chickens and ducks. I would much rather be outside than in. I met my husband, Forrest in high school and we married in June of 2018. We have two Labrador dogs named Gauge and Drake. We just welcomed a baby girl this last August.
Surgical Assistant
I chose dental assisting as my career because I find satisfaction in providing patient care. I joined Spokane Periodontics earlier this year and have fallen in love with perio.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends, being involved in my church and enjoying the outdoors. I hope to travel the world one day.
